DIAMOND A LONESOME DOVE 3/27/99 - 6/04/07
The late "Mama Dove" was my herdqueen, and her sudden passing left holes in my heart and my breeding program that will be difficult to fill. Thankfully I have two daughters and a son to carry on her legacy. They all posses her wonderous length and depth of body, as well as her regal attitude. I miss you, Mama.

HIGHLAND DOVE IN THE WINDOW 5/23/01
What a good girl "Dinky Dove" is...she definitely got her dam's spring of rib and length. Her so-far only son, Teacup's Presidential Caliber, won 3 Grands and a Reserve as a junior buck, and I was recently able to bring his twin sister back home (thanks, Linda!) which pleases me no end.

TEACUP'S HERE COMES THAT RAINBOW 12/14/04
Named for a Kris Kristofferson song rather than her color, Rainbow certainly inherited her late mother's magnificent depth and length of body. A successful show doe who rarely finishes out of the top three.... on Sept. 30, 2007, she placed first in her class at the Texas State Fair!!!
And on Nov. 10, 2007, she won her class again at the Louisiana State Fair Bayou Classic, where judge Denice Hasty praised her as "a stylish, elegant doe with wonderful length and depth of body."

This picture of Bobby as a yearling is probably my favorite goat photograph of all time. My sweet Bobby's a grown doe now with daughters of her own; she's also another successful show doe with a fistful of blue, red and white ribbons to hang on the wall. If her half-sister Rainbow's favorite song is"Gee It's Great To Be Back Home Again", Bobby's is "On The Road Again"! This pretty chamoisee lady loves to show.

As a baby, she was adorable and I was thrilled to death to be able to buy her. As a "teen-ager" I wondered seriously if I had wasted my money after all. As an adult doe, that answer is a resounding "NO!!!" because she has simply blossomed into a wonderful doe with excellant length and depth of body, angularity and although you can't tell here, a very nice udder! And her first-born kid, Tupelo Honey, has a Grand and a Reserve Championship already....not too shabby at all!

while flashier goats soaked up all the attention. Then one day I looked down in amazment at this marvelous young doe with wonderful width, depth and length.
UPDATE : On Sept. 29, 2007, Tupelo Honey won Grand Champion Dry Doe at the Texas State Fair under judge David Millison!!!! And on Nov. 10, 2007, she took Reserve Champion Dry Doe under judge Denice Hasty at the Louisiana State Fair Bayou Classic!!!
