Well hello there! I love having people drop by for a visit. The internet version of Deb P Nigerians may be a little cheaper to get to than the real farm, what with the current disgraceful price of gasoline... but pictures aren't nearly as much fun to pet as real, live goats are! Be that as it may, I'm glad you're here. And just where is "here", in real life? Why, in north central Texas, in a teensy little map dot called Sunset, on HWY 287 about 60 miles north-northwest of Ft. Worth. It's an easy if somewhat long drive from just about anywhere, and if you come during our wildflower season you better bring your camera. Depending on the time of year you'll see bluebonnets, indian paintbrush, blackeyed susan, honeysuckle, primrose and scores of other beauties growing along the way. My journey into the glorious if mischevious world of goats started when my husband bought a young Toggenburg buck (almost instantly named Cinnamon) to help eat down the brush and weeds on our new home. Cinnamon was a very tough as well as good natured fellow who did his best to teach us everything we needed to know about goats. Somehow he survived our learning period - I said he was tough, didn't I? We browsed the world of goats for a little while, then Fate stepped in in the form of a pen full of at the Ft. Worth Stock Show. One look, and I was toast. It took me a while, but now I have my pasture full of beautiful little goats that I wouldn't trade for anything. Come on in, and let me introduce you to them!
.
and has since moved on to weedier pastures.
